Why should I hire a professional tourist guide?

For first time visitors, we can give you a taste of what Cumbria and the Lake District has to offer, so that you will understand why so many visitors come back year after year.

Many regular visitors will be surprised to learn that there is much more to the Lake District than meets the eye, and that the Lake District National Park is but the jewel in the crown of the fascinating and beautiful county of Cumbria.

Overseas visitors will doubtless appreciate having a friendly local to show them around, perhaps helping with language difficulties and explaining local customs and traditions.

Tour Operators can relax in the knowledge that their customers will be entertained and informed by a trained, professional guide, giving them a far more rewarding experience than would be gained from a simple sight-seeing tour.

Hiring a Blue Badge Tourist Guide

Before hiring a Blue Badge Guide it is important to agree a fee for the service provided. Blue Badge Guiding fees are calculated within a minimum / maximum fee range and are subject to agreement between the client and the individual guide. The guideline quoted allows for the negotiation of differences between individual guided tours and also accounts for foreign language supplements.
